Conch Island Soap Factory was Started by Marathon Bio-Diesel in 2013.
Marathon Bio-Diesel is a B100 bio-fuel processor using DONATED Used Vegetable Oil (UVO) collected from local restaurants. We have developed a process for converting the used vegetable oil from restaurants, resorts, other organizations and the general public into a clean burning, eco-friendly, bio-degradeable diesel fuel alternative. Using our proprietary process, all collected UVO will be filtered, processed and refined into a Certified B-100 bio-fuel which meets ASTM D-6751.
Non-Toxic, Bio-Degradeable products. The Glycerine in this soap is a byproduct from the process of converting used vegetable cooking oil, aka WVO, into biodiesel. The local restaurants donate their used oils, once used for cooking your favorite deep fried favorites, to Marathon Bio-Diesel, and we process it into biodiesel, leaving behind glycerine as a byproduct. We then convert the glycerin to soap. How cool is that?
If you have never used a pure glycerine, then you have no idea what you are missing. No more dried hands from standards soaps and their additives. Pure glycerine soap... of course with a choice of over a dozen essential oil. Like lavender and jasmine as an option.
